Amazing. I have never seen anything like it. It was in 3D, and was very cool. The story was classic, but interesting. The characters were believable too. We were all stunned at how good this movie was.
It made me question the whole faith thing again also. I have never been a fan of these monotheistic paternalistic religions. The spirituality in this movie is more credible to me. The connectedness of the people made more sense.
Even with the creatures, their innate natures seem to show up. We have raised them the same way, as far as I can see, yet X is very much the warrior and Z the nurturer. We tried to keep weapons away from X in particular, but he managed to make anything a weapon. He attacked people with his play vacuum.
It just makes more sense to me that any higher deity would be feminine if anything. Females are more nurturing. Little boys seemed determined to be warriors for what they believe in. X definitely gets caught up in the whole "good versus evil" theme.
