Midnight

I just finished reading a very good book. It is titled Midnight by Sister Souljah. I normally don't like books about American life and the projects as such, but I picked this one up while in Zellers on the way to my 2 day hiatus a few weeks ago. I wasn't expecting much except a diversion, but I got drawn into this story. Its about a young boy who emigrates from Sudan with his mother and ends up in New York in the projects. It was well written and engaging. I won't say much more but I am definitely going to look for her other novels.

The creatures had their hair braided today, and are now napping. I hope to go to the new Disney movie..The Princess and the Frog, after nap. Z likes the princess as she thinks she looks like her. Last night we danced to the new Jacksoul CD. The creatures wore their sunglasses and danced on the coffee table. I wish I got pictures of that but we were using the iPhone for the music. Its so sad we will never hear more of Haydain's voice again.

Its back to the HELLPIT tomorrow for me. I always miss the creatures after a good weekend with them. Now they are older and the weekends are more fun as their behaviour is better. I am so proud of them.
